Empowering Black Youth to Build Successful Careers

The NextGen Employment Program is designed to equip Black youth with the skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to thrive in the workforce. At Back to Basickz, we understand the challenges young people face when entering the job market, and our program provides tailored support to help them succeed.Through career-focused training, hands-on workshops, and one-on-one mentorship, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to pursue meaningful employment. Our program also connects youth with local businesses and organizations, offering real-world job opportunities and networking experiences.

Back 2 Basickz is a community-based organization that supports Black and racialized youth across the GTA through safe spaces, mental health support, education assistance, and employment opportunities.
The organization was founded in 2013 and has been committed to empowering youth for over a decade.  
We primarily serve Black and racialized youth across the Greater Toronto Area, especially those facing systemic barriers, limited opportunities, or challenging social conditions.  
We offer a range of support programs including: Safe community spaces Mental health guidance Educational tutoring and resources Job readiness and employment opportunities Mentorship and personal development
