About Back 2 Basickz Youth Support Services

Back 2 Basickz empowers Black and racialized youth across the GTA by providing safe spaces, mental health support, education assistance, and employment opportunities. Since 2013, we’ve been committed to breaking systemic barriers and helping young people build confidence, stability, and a strong foundation for their future.Together, we can create pathways to hope, healing, and success for every youth we serve.

Mission Statement

Back 2 Basickz Youth Support Services provides Black and racialized youth with the tools, resources, and wraparound supports needed to change their lives academically, economically, and socially. Through safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive spaces, we deliver programming focused on mental health, education, employment readiness, and life skills. Our mission is to support Black and racialized youth in navigating systemic inequities, strengthening resilience, and building clear pathways toward stability, independence, and long-term success.

Vision Statement

Our vision is a future where Black and racialized youth are given meaningful second chances to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Back 2 Basickz envisions communities where Black and racialized youth are supported, empowered, and affirmed, with equitable access to opportunities that enable them to overcome systemic barriers, build confidence, and create positive, sustainable futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

The organization was founded in 2013 and has been committed to empowering youth for over a decade.  
We primarily serve Black and racialized youth across the Greater Toronto Area, especially those facing systemic barriers, limited opportunities, or challenging social conditions.  
We offer a range of support programs including: Safe community spaces Mental health guidance Educational tutoring and resources Job readiness and employment opportunities Mentorship and personal development
